CK's Most Adorable Munchkins Photo Contest is back...with a twist!! Only about a week left to go...

This year YOU will be the cover photographer. We want YOU to shoot a photo for our 2013 cover of CK Child. So get your cameras out, get your munchkin(s) fabbed up with a fabulous Spring wardrobe and stage a 'spring-themed' set that you think would be perfect for our next spring cover! 

Where Do I Start? What will work?

Well...anywhere and anything! There really are minimal rules for what the cover should be. It must feature local children at a location within the boundaries of C-K, it must be your own original photograph, it must have a 'Spring' feel and it must be a current photo. Other than that, be as creative as you'd like! It can be a simple photo of your favourite munchkins partaking in a favourite Spring-type activity or you can set up an extravagant set design with props. It will be a little trickier at this time of the year since the air is becoming cooler and crisper but that's all part of the fun! 

Don't forget, photos MUST be current so get those cameras out and shoot the perfect cover :)

CK’s Most Adorable Munchkins Photo Contest 2012/2013 

1. A $5.00 entry fee must be submitted at the time of submitting your entry.

2. Only 1 photo may be entered at a time. If there is more than 1 child in the photo you are submitting, you must clearly identify all children you are entering into the contest.

3. SInce we have changed our rules & it is an entirely new process for entry submission, we have decided to extend the deadline. The deadline for entering this contest has been extended to November 23rd, 2012 at 11:59pm.

4. Eligibility:

• Child(ren) must be 12 years of age or under before the entry deadline of Nov 23rd
• Photo must be a current photo (within 6 months)
• More than 1 child can be featured in this photo
• All children must be residents of Chatham-Kent
• Location must be within the boundaries of Chatham-Kent

5. Professional photography will not be accepted due to copyright issues so you MAY NOT enter a photo taken by a ‘professional’ who took it for you. Since there are no official credentials a ‘photographer’, anyone can enter their own photo that they themselves have taken, even if you provide photography for others. It MUST be your own original work or the photographer must also give their permission and their name must be included on your entry.

7. You can enter as many children as you would like.

8. Photographs/CDs will not be returned

9. Photograph must have been taken within 6 months of the entry deadline

10. VOTING: Viewers may only vote once per photo however they may vote for as many entries as they would like.

11. Contest will be conducted by the following process:

• STEP 1 October 8th, 2012 @ 12noon: Official Launch! Enter your munchkin(s) by filling out our Entry Form on our website. Enter online or print out a form and mail it in!
• STEP 2 November 23rd, 2012 @ 11:59pm: Entry Deadline
• STEP 3a November 27th, 2012 @ 12:00pm
• STEP 3b 1st Week in December: All Entries are showcased in the 2012/2013 WINTER issue of CK Child 
• STEP 4 December 10th @ 9am: Facebook Voting Begins! Vote via Facebook by ‘liking’ your favourite entry(s) and commenting 'VOTE' under their photo or mail in a ballot (to be posted)
• STEP 5 January 31st @ 11:59pm: Voting Closes
• STEP 6 February 4th @ 12:00pm: TOP 10 REVEALED! The 10 entries that receive the most votes will be announced as our TOP 10. The judges on our Judging panel will decide from the TOP 10 chosen by our Facebook viewers who the Grand Prize Winner will be! Now is the time for our viewers to convince our judges which entry should be the winner. Viewers can now post on Facebook why they feel their favourite entry should win!
• STEP 7 February 15th @ midnight: Comments are now closes
• STEP 10 WINNER REVEALED! The Grand Prize winner will have their photo featured on the cover of the Spring 2013 issue of CK Child which will be released the week of March 4-8th! Our runners up will also be revealed in the inside spread of this issue.

12. CK Child and judges will not be eligible to participate in this contest.

13. THE CLIENT hereby assigns and grants “CK’s Most Adorable Munchkins” and its legal representatives the irrevocable and unrestricted right to use and publish photographs of THE CLIENT or in which THE CLIENT may be included, for editorial, trade, advertising or any other purpose and in any manner and medium; to alter the same without restriction; and to copyright the same. THE CLIENT hereby releases “Most Adorable Munchkins” and its legal representatives and assigns from all claims and liability relating to said photographs. It is agreed that “Most Adorable Munchkins” may display and use the photographs taken for advertising, display, website and internet promotion, photographic contests, public display such as in malls, photography books, photography instructional books, store fronts, window displays, studio display, television advertising, magazine advertising and any other purpose thought proper by “Most Adorable Munchkins”.
